Hazel la vache des Highlands

I’ve always been a bit rubbish at painting, but Hazel’s big soulful eyes and shaggy brown mane made it so easy to stay in the lines and actually feel proud of the result. The whole kit kept me busy for a couple of afternoons.

The teal sky background really makes her pink nose pop once you finish it, and the border of pink, white, and orange flowers was surprisingly fun to fill in. I've done a few of these kits before, and this one kept me focused for a whole rainy afternoon.

Painting Hazel’s shaggy brown mane took longer than I expected because there’s so much texture to fill in, but the bright teal sky made every brushstroke pop. The pink, white, and orange border is a cheerful touch that frames her little face perfectly. I’m honestly a bit sad it’s finished.
