Panda cache-cache

The cherry tree background technique was surprisingly easy to follow, and the layering made the blossoms look almost real. I hung my finished painting in the hallway—the upside-down panda really does catch your eye from across the room.

The upside-down panda pose is adorable and it's such a satisfying challenge to paint his little face while he peeks around the branch. I really enjoyed the flower-layering method for the background—it makes the whole tree look like it's blooming right off the page.

The upside-down red panda is such a fun subject, and the cherry tree background actually taught me a cool flower-layering trick I’d never tried before. The kit’s instructions made it easy to get the blossoms to pop, and I’m genuinely proud of how it turned out.
