Frostede Solstråler

The way the instructions break down one-point perspective made the shadows in my birch grove actually look like they were cutting across the snow. I finished my first piece in one relaxing afternoon, and the crisp winter light effect is spot on.

The one-point perspective instructions are so clear that I actually got the shadows to feel like they were cutting across the snow, not just painted on. My birch trunks came out straighter than I ever managed before, and the whole scene has that sharp winter light I was chasing.

The cold shadows slicing through the birch grove turned out surprisingly easy to paint once I followed the one-point perspective steps. Finished it in one afternoon, and the way the sun hits the snow really does feel like a frosty morning.
