The step-by-step approach for drawing the shark with simple shapes clicked instantly for my seven-year-old—she had a full underwater scene done in one sitting. Watching her layer the blues and grays to make the fin look like it was slicing through water was honestly the highlight of my week.

My son was obsessed with layering the colors to make the shark look properly menacing, and the simple shape breakdown made it easy for him to follow along without getting frustrated. Finished piece is now taped to his bedroom door, which says everything.

The step-by-step shape method made the shark actually look like a shark, and layering the blue tones gave it real depth. My kid’s been showing off the finished piece to everyone who walks by.
