Autumn Ember

The rustic woodgrain backdrop turned out even better than the picture—it’s got a real depth that makes the pumpkin pop. I’ve done a few leaf-heavy kits before, but the way these crimson and amber swirls layer over each other is uniquely satisfying.

The deep orange ribs on the pumpkin really pop once you layer them over that rustic woodgrain—it feels like I'm painting a slice of fall itself. The crimson and amber leaf swirls add just the right amount of movement to the piece, and the whole kit came together in one relaxing evening session.

The way the crimson and amber leaves wrap around the pumpkin's deep orange ribs is just so satisfying to paint, and the rustic woodgrain backdrop gives it a cozy warmth that pops on my wall. I've already started on a second one for my sister because it was that fun to work through.
