Houd je oog op de bal

The highlight-and-shadow trick on the basketball actually makes it look like it's popping off the canvas, which blew my mind for a beginner kit. My kid loved how the four different balls kept the project interesting from start to finish.

My 9-year-old finished this in one sitting and was so proud of the basketball that genuinely looks like it’s popping off the canvas. The way the guide breaks down shadows for each ball made it easy enough for him to follow without any frustration.

The highlight-and-shadow lesson is such a clever way to teach kids depth, and my daughter was genuinely amazed when the basketball started looking round. She moved through the volleyball and baseball next, and the finished set is honestly frame-worthy for a junior artist.
