My kid usually loses patience with art kits halfway through, but the simple shape steps in this frog painting project kept her engaged until the very last splash of green. She loved that she could swap the frog's expression and add her own silly details without messing up the color mixing system.

The color mixing guide was so clear that my daughter figured out the green shades on her own. She gave her frog googly eyes and a bigger tongue. Simple shapes made it easy for her to stay confident the whole way through.

My six-year-old painted this frog three times in one weekend—the simple shape breakdown made it totally doable for her, and she loved mixing her own greens for the skin. We customized the tongue to be purple instead of red, and now it's hanging on our fridge like a masterpiece.
