My nine-year-old finally got the hang of blending those layered colors for the sky, and the birch tree technique with the patterned bark was way easier to follow than I expected. Took her a couple of evenings to finish, but the cardinal really pops against the snow scene.

The snowy background came out beautifully once I followed the layering steps for the glowy sky, and the cardinal pops just like the picture. It’s a great kit for getting comfortable with blending without feeling rushed or overwhelmed.

The birch tree technique was a lot easier to follow than I expected, and the layering for the sky gave it that soft glow you see in the picture. My kid finished it in one sitting and actually hung it up in her room.
