My 9-year-old finished the dragon eye in one sitting, and the gold hoard really pops once you follow the glinting-eye steps. That scaly texture was tricky at first, but the sample tutorial walked us through it clearly enough that we'll definitely be framing this one.

My 8-year-old was so proud when the dragon's eye actually looked like it was glinting off the page. The step-by-step guide for the scaly texture was super clear, and we got the gold to pop just like in the sample.

The scaly texture technique turned out way better than I expected, and my kid was actually pumped to paint it. Even the gold guarding detail feels doable for a beginner, the instructions break it down nicely. We're already planning the next one.
