3–2–1 Blastoff!

We’ve done this rocket kit three times already, and the way it walks you through building with basic shapes is perfect for little hands. My daughter loved picking her own details for the spaceship, and the finished painting is actually hanging in her room.

My six-year-old couldn’t wait to launch into this—the rocket pages let her draw her own fins and windows, and the finished artwork actually looks like it’s blasting off. The basic shapes part felt easy for her to follow alone, which is rare.

The step-by-step shape building is surprisingly easy to follow, and my daughter finished her rocket in one sitting without asking for help. She loved that she could add her own details to the space scene afterward.
